In the two and a half decades that we have been trading, we have fine-tuned our bespoke system. This offers our clients a floor to suit their needs and budget, from the modest to the most generous.
The result is that we can tailor a floor to your exact specification, using a wide range of colour, size, pattern, and texture options.
So how does it work? Beginning at our collection page, choose a featured colour palette and click on a swatch to see the options available. More details about sizes, prices and technical specifications can
be found by clicking the info and prices button. Here you can also ask us a question or order a sample.
Of course, timbers need to be seen in real life to be truly appreciated.
For the next step, visit one of our showrooms or book a virtual video consultation to discuss your project. A member of our sales team will guide you step by step to choose your ultimate floor and talk you through the installation process.
From this point, we can conduct site-surveys and generate quotations.
Ever since the founding in 1994 by Eelke Jan Bles, Solid Floor has been guided by an interest in architecture, design, and the creative process.
Craftsmanship, specialist skills, and a true eye for detail stand at the centre of our business.
By nurturing good relationships with our clients and collaborators, and sharing our expertise, we have delivered the most special floors for design professionals and private clients in London and beyond.
At the present no other issue has been in the forefront of the design industry as sustainability. As a custodian of a natural product, we cannot evade this matter. It is imperative that we, both supplier and consumer preserve and protect our woods for future generations.
The majority our timber collections are certified with the FSC ®and PEFC chain of custody standard. These international organisations promote responsible forest management, and connect responsible practices to consumers.
Sourcing certified materials is a fantastic first step towards ‘green living’.
Solid Floor searched for ethical floorboard manufacturing and found two innovative timber mills, based in Europe and South America.
When we purchase from these timber mills, we ascertain that ecological sustainable production processes are being used in manufacturing your floor.
We believe that our timber suppliers’ on-going investments and innovations will benefit us all, and we are proud to be actively supporting their businesses.
Good work practices and environments produce superior service.
We are proud to have a team of people who have been with us for many years. Our combined experience in the flooring industry is vast and wide-ranging. We all share an interest in design, architecture, and a love of timber surfaces in particular. Both in the showroom or on site, we will go the extra mile to find solutions and help you realise your project to the highest standard.
If you are an interior designer, architect, or similar, then we are keen to meet you.
We encourage you to make use of our spacious showroom in the East End, or our centrally located showroom in Marylebone, to meet your clients to choose a floor. If you are too busy, give us a heads up, and we are more than happy to guide your clients through the process ourselves, per your specific instructions, of course.
