Parquet panel floors originated in the Palace of Versailles, France, in the 16th century, when the original heavy marble floors were replaced by timber panels in different patterns in a new parquet technique. This fashion soon swept all over France and the rest of Europe.

The small wooden blocks are held together with a tongue and groove system on panels in different intricate designs. Recently we have seen a renewed interest in this classic parquet flooring set in a more modern setting. Our engineered panel floors are available in twelve different designs and various sizes.
