This apartment, in the iconic Grade II listed Trellick Tower, was stripped back to the bones for a complete overhaul. A limited palette of three materials: oak, steel and concrete, were used as the backbone of the scheme. Inspired by Erno Goldfinger’s own house in Hampstead, a rich dark oak herringbone floor inLandmark Derrymore was chosen which runs throughout the apartment. The parquet adds warmth and pattern to the interior, and contrast beautifully with the cool concrete and steel of the brutalist setting.
