Over the decades, underfloor heating has transformed homes, and Solid Floor has adapted, creating timber floors designed to work beautifully with it while keeping the luxury and warmth underfoot.
A central London high-rise was transformed with our oak Landmark Saltram, chosen for its light, warm, restrained mid-century modernist look, engineered stability, and its compatibility with acoustic underlay and underfloor heating.
This is the fourth year we take part in the Shoreditch Design Triangle during the London Design Festival, from 17th till 25th of September. To celebrate LDF 2022, we have invited Rupert Bevan to demonstrate the colourful art of marbling.
If you’ve ever pored over glossy images of smart, newly done-up interiors, you have no doubt spotted spaces with what appear to be vintage, warm and slightly worn timber floors running throughout them - but are they genuinely old?
We currently have open positions to support our dynamic sales team and our growing installation team:
- Sales accounts manager
- Self-employed hardwood flooring installers

In this East London Victorian lower ground, our pale oak Landmark Ascott creates a light, airy Scandi feel, perfectly complementing the monochrome scheme and elegant, practical design of the kitchen and living spaces.
Modern parquet flooring has been revived, moving from formal to versatile, contemporary spaces. Prefinished and available in varied sizes, colours, and textures, it pairs classic patterns like herringbone and chevron with a fresh, stylish look.
In this Victorian Islington home, our Landmark Tatton oak in rich, earthy tones and broad planks complements the green living room walls, creating a floor that feels contemporary yet pays homage to the house’s 1850 origins.
Among the many desirable features of our floors is that most of them are sealed with hard wax oil creating a surface on the wood that is both pleasing to the eye and to the touch.
